Application

The Sacramento Marina is a municipal, recreational facility. We are committed to inclusivity and transparency. Slips are first come first serve unless there is a wait list. Completion of this application does not guarantee you a slip in the marina.

  • This application must be completed by the intended registered owner(s) of the vessel
  • Chartering, Air BnB’s or any related type of business of renting out your boat is prohibited in the Sacramento Marina
  • Living aboard your boat is prohibited in the Sacramento Marina 

The following documents must be uploaded as part of the application process.  Any missing documents may delay approval of your application or result in denial of your application. 

  • Proof of insurance with additional insured endorsement ($300,000 P&I Liability or Watercraft Liability clearly stating the policy covers salvage and pollution) 
    Verbiage for additional insured should read as:

  • Proof of DMV registration or U.S. Coast Guard documentation
  • Your valid photo ID
  • Proof of California Boater Card (as of January 1, 2023 – required for any person 60 years of age or younger)
  • If you just purchased the boat, please contact the Marina for further documentation requirements
  • If you are in the process of purchasing a boat, please contact the Marina Office for further instruction at 916-808-5712 or sacmarina@cityofsacramento.org
  • If there is more than one owner listed on the registration, please contact the marina office for further instruction at 916-808-5712 or sacmarina@cityofsacramento.org
  • If there are no slips available for the size or slip requested, you may opt to get on a wait list for the desired size or slip. If you are not currently a marina patron, there is a $20 wait list fee per list

You are authorized to store either one dinghy with motor or one PWC at no additional cost. It must fit within your slip, it must be registered and insured to the same registered owner of the parent vessel, and the registration and insurance must be submitted to the Marina Office. If you wish to store more than one, there may be an additional cost per dinghy or PWC and the same stipulations aformentioned apply.
